Governor Rhoden First 100 Days

(Pierre, SD) — Governor Larry Rhoden is celebrating his first 100 days in office. He took over for Kristi Noem earlier this year after she stepped down to become Homeland Security Secretary. Governor Rhoden said he’s “ecstatic” with how things have gone since while reflecting on his milestone yesterday during a stop in Baltic. Over the past few months, the Governor oversaw South Dakota’s 100th Legislative Session, signing dozens of new bills into law. He started his Open For Opportunity Tour across the state to meet with communities, local leaders, business owners and farmers. Governor Rhoden also launched the Project Prison Reset task force in an effort to find the right solution for a new men’s state prison that’s needed. He added he feels “very positive about the future of our state.”
