(Burleigh County, ND) — Burleigh County Commissioners are investigating delayed Primary Residence Tax Credit funds. County auditor and treasurer Mark Splonskowski claims confusion about the deadline and how to distribute the funds appropriately led to the delay. The nearly eleven-million-dollars in tax funds wasn’t distributed until over two weeks after the April 11th deadline. Commissioners say this marks the third time Splonskowski’s office failed to comply with state and federal laws. A petition sent to Governor Kelly Armstrong has called for Splonskowski’s removal from office.
