(Bismarck, ND) — Red flag warnings are still in effect after dozens of fires started throughout North Dakota this weekend. Crews from the North Dakota Wildland Taskforce, the Forest Service, and even a team from Colorado were stationed throughout the state to combat fire pop-ups. However, 60 fires were reported and burned over one-thousand-one-hundred acres. The Department of Emergency Services said 20 fires broke out Sunday alone. Many parts of North Dakota are still under red flag warnings, with affected areas listed on the NDDES website.
