(Boulder, MT) — Dozens of inmates are moving to another prison facility in Montana. Fifty women were moved Monday from the Montana Women’s Prison in Billings to a building in Boulder because of overcrowding at the former. The Department of Corrections said the MWP has been over capacity for some time now and creates problems at the facility and county detention centers. Officials noted more than 260 women were being housed at MWP with dozens still awaiting placement.
