(Eagan, MN) — A quarterback from an NFC North division rival wanted to play for the Minnesota Vikings, according to an upcoming book called “American Kings: A Biography of the Quarterback.” The book reportedly reveals that Caleb Williams told his father Carl Williams that he wanted to be drafted by the Minnesota Vikings after meeting Kevin O’Connell at the 2024 NFL Combine. Notably, Williams originally wanted to avoid the Chicago Bears, who picked him with the first overall pick in 2024. The Vikings will take on the Bears to open the 2025 season on September 8th.
