After 18 years of service, Melissa Sobolik is stepping down as CEO of the Great Plains Food Bank. Her last day will be July 11, as she leaves to become CEO of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank.
Sobolik helped grow the food bank’s reach across North Dakota, including into tribal areas, and led it through major challenges like the pandemic and inflation.
Chief Operating Officer Kate Molbert will serve as interim CEO while the board begins a nationwide search for Sobolik’s replacement.
