(Bismarck, ND) — A North Dakota citizens’ group is fighting to keep Mark Splonskowski in office. The Qualified Electors of Burleigh County presented a cease-and-desist order to the Burleigh County State’s Attorney that claims Julie Lawyer is using questionable legal practices to oust Splonskowski. Lawyer said she is acting within her discretion after the county auditor and treasurer allegedly missed funding approval deadlines several times. The discussion of removing Splonskowski will continue tomorrow at a special meeting.
