(Jamestown, ND) — Crews could break ground soon on a new state hospital in Jamestown. Plans are already underway for the new building that will be adjacent to the James River Correctional Center. Officials say the new hospital will help to improve patients’ overall health and allow staff to provide higher-quality care. Governor Kelly Armstrong approved the 300-million-dollar project earlier this week. The hospital is estimated to be completed by 2028, with construction crews possibly on site in July.
