(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota’s Auditor and Treasurer will be investigated at the state level. The Burleigh County Board of Commissioners voted to petition the Attorney General’s office and Governor Kelly Armstrong to get involved with the incompetence and misconduct investigation of Mark Splonskowski. Board members allege he is guilty of multiple violations, including harassing the county’s human resources director and neglecting his office’s financial responsibilities. Commissioners will petition Governor Armstrong to consider removing Splonskowski from office.
