(Meade County, SD) — A helicopter rescue unfolded in Meade County yesterday, airlifting a rancher after a serious horse accident. Witnesses called for help right away, and a Life-Flight helicopter landed in a nearby pasture to airlift the rancher to the hospital. No update has been given on their condition at this time. The rancher’s family shared photos of the dramatic rescue on Facebook. Along with the photos, the sheriff’s office reminded the community about the dangers that come with ranch life.
