Omaha Doctor Sentenced In Deadly 2023 Street Race Crash Killing SD Woman

(Omaha, NE) — An Omaha doctor behind a deadly crash that killed a young South Dakota woman is being sentenced to prison. Yesterday, Dr. Mark Carlson received 10 to 14 years for the 2023 crash that killed 22-year-old Anna Bosma in Omaha. He was found guilty of manslaughter. Carlson was racing another car when he lost control and hit Bosma’s vehicle. She died at the scene. Her boyfriend survived. Before sentencing, Carlson apologized to the family in court. Bosma’s parents say they’re heartbroken, but they feel justice was done.
