Rockies Off To Historically Bad Start Through 50 Games

(Denver, CO) — The Rockies are off to the worst 50-game start in MLB’s modern era. Colorado has started the season with an 8-and-42 overall record, which is the worst season-opening stretch since the 1895 Louisville Colonels. The team is currently 5-and-20 at home and are on pace to lose 136 games, which would surpass the 1899 Cleveland Spiders for the most losses by an MLB team in a single season. The Chicago White Sox set the modern era record for most losses last season with 121.
