SDSU President Barry Dunn says the bill’s overhaul of student aid could drive up costs and cut off access to key programs like work-study and federal loans. He says research funding is already drying up, and federal education cuts could make things worse. The university is slowing spending and asking its foundation for more scholarship help as they brace for fewer federal dollars.
