ND Drilling Completion Waivers Offered Amid Volatile Prices

(Bismarck, ND) — State oil and gas regulators can apply for completion waivers due to volatile oil prices. The Industrial Commission approved the same waiver used during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide companies with financial relief. Regulators can postpone oil extraction operations until prices improve, with WTI Crude currently trending around North Dakota’s breakeven point of 60-dollars per barrel. Companies must apply for the waiver to be considered for relief.
