(Hand County, SD) — One person is dead after a semi-truck collided with a freight train Thursday in Hand County. The sheriff’s office says the accident happened a few miles east of Miller and St. Lawrence. The semi was hauling an empty trailer when it crossed the tracks and was hit by the locomotive. The semi driver, who was pronounced dead at a hospital, has not yet been identified.
