(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City Parks and Recreation has begun planting 21-thousand flowers around town. KOTA reports crews began planting the flowers under sunny skies yesterday in Halley Park. The assortment of Marigolds, Zinnias, Snapdragons and Cosmos were all grown in the city’s new greenhouse. Greenhouse Specialist John Berglund is in charge of the project and says he’s got a team of 15 high school age workers doing the planting.
