(Williston, ND) — The man who allegedly barricaded himself inside the Fort Union Trading Post faces federal prison. Patrick Stewart is accused of barricading himself inside the historical site while making threats to burn it down and hurt responding officers. However, hours of negotiating with the suspect led to the 36-year-old’s arrest without any injuries. Stewart now faces multiple charges, including violating federal terrorizing and damaging federal property.
