(Bismarck, ND) — The state legislative council believes a special session is needed to reverse a housing funding veto. The recommendation was given to Governor Kelly Armstrong after he accidentally vetoed 35-million-dollars for the Housing Incentive Fund last month. Armstrong said he thought the funding was only for combating homelessness among indigenous tribes. A special session to rectify the mistake now hangs in the air as Governor Armstrong waits for Attorney General Drew Wrigley’s opinion.
