(Davison County, SD) — The Davison County sheriff is speaking out on the proposed new prison in the county. Sheriff Steve Harr wrote that before the latest Prison Task Force meeting, most people he talked to supported the plan. But now, he’s seeing many residents strongly opposed to it. Because of that shift, Sheriff Harr announced he will not support building the prison in Davison County.
