Wildfire Smoke Expected To Be Summerlong Issue

(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakotans should prepare to deal with the wildfire smoke from Canada throughout the summer. Weather officials predict the smoke will be an on-and-off issue for regions closest to the affected areas, with air quality concerns expected this week. Over 220 active fires were reported yesterday, with half of them classified as out of control. Air quality in the western and central regions of the state returned to unhealthy levels, as officials urge residents to limit outdoor activity and keep windows and doors closed.
