(Sioux County, ND) — A man faces life imprisonment for a Sioux County death. Deagen Running Bear was charged with the death of Elijah Red Tomahawk, who was killed sometime in May 2023. Running Bear is accused of attacking the victim with a skateboard and later trying to hide the body. Prosecutors say the man is expected to enter guilty pleas for second-degree murder and evidence tampering. If convicted of both charges, Running Bear faces life in prison and an additional 20 years.
