(Washington, DC) — Senate Majority Leader and South Dakota Senator John Thune is backing Israel after its airstrikes on Tehran. In a Thursday night statement, Thune said Iran has long threatened Israel through terror groups, missile attacks, and violations of nuclear agreements. He calls Israel’s response “decisive action” to defend its people, and says the U.S. Senate is ready to work with President Trump and Israel to restore peace.
