Lawmaker Information Taken Off ND Website After MN Shooting

(Bismarck, ND) — The director of North Dakota’s Legislative Council says some lawmaker information was removed from a public website after last weekend’s deadly shootings in Minnesota. John Bjornson says he removed state lawmakers’ addresses from the legislature’s website as a precaution after hearing about the shooting on Saturday. The Minnesota shooter allegedly impersonated a police officer while killing one lawmaker and her husband and wounding a state senator and his spouse. Bjornson says a long-term policy on lawmaker information will be discussed during a committee meeting next week.
