(Williston, ND) — The state’s Public Service Commission plans to hold a public meeting later this month to get input on a proposed generating station in Williams County. Basin Electric Power Cooperative is requesting a permit to build a combined cycle-gas turbine generator on land located in Wheelock Township, about 17 miles northeast of Williston. The three-point-eight-billion-dollar Bison Generation Station could generate nearly 15-hundred megawatts of energy once it reaches full production. The public hearing will be held at 9 a.m. on June 30th at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center in Williston.
