(Tel Aviv) — Governor Larry Rhoden is sharing more about his trade mission to Israel last week. Rhoden says he almost got stuck there, flying out last Wednesday just one day before Israel began its initial strikes on Iran. His group visited Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The delegation Rhoden led on his trip included defense and agriculture business people looking to secure sales in the Israeli market. He says the relationship between Israel and South Dakota is very strong and has brought economic success over the last year or so. Rhoden’s trip last week also included a wreath-laying ceremony at the World Holocaust Remembrance Center and a reception at the home of U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
