(Sioux Falls, SD) — Flames tore through a house in southeast Sioux Falls Saturday night, sending two firefighters to the hospital with heat-related injuries. Crews arrived to find fire shooting from the back of a home on East 28th Street, near 26th and Bahnson. The fire quickly spread inside, but no one was home. It took about 90 minutes to get it under control. The firefighters were treated and released, and their injuries are considered minor. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with more than 30 personnel and got help from several local agencies. There’s no word yet on what started the fire.
