(Rapid City, SD) — Rapid City has a spot picked for its new regional sports complex, and it’s coming to North Rapid. Mayor Jason Salamun made the announcement earlier this week, saying the project has been in the works for a long time. The complex will feature an indoor turf soccer field and eight basketball courts that can convert for volleyball and pickleball. Salamun plans to ask the City Council to put five million dollars from the Vision Fund toward the project, which he says will benefit local youth and bring in visitors from across the region.
