Suspect Surrenders After Officer-Involved Shooting In Sioux Falls

(Sioux Falls, SD) — A suspect is in the hospital after an officer-involved shooting in Sioux Falls last night. An officer with the Sioux Falls Fugitive Task Force opened fire when the suspect allegedly pulled a weapon during a warrant arrest. It happened near Bahnson and Rice Street. The suspect took off and ran into a home he was familiar with. Authorities say he then pulled the gun, prompting the officer to shoot. The suspect wasn’t hit directly and later surrendered after about an hour. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
