(Fargo, ND) — North Dakota taxpayers are footing the bill for a multi-million-dollar settlement over construction claims. The Red River Valley Alliance will receive 57-million-dollars for a Fargo-Moorhead Area Diversion project. The payment will resolve around 400-million-dollars in construction claims submitted by the RRVA, including construction delays and change orders. Both parties have agreed to drop the claims after the settlement was reached yesterday. The money will come from a pool of taxpayer-provided funds for the project.
