(Minot, ND) — Minot’s new voting law will be put to the test next month. Early this year, officials altered how absentee ballots will be counted in the city’s elections. The law now requires all absentee ballots to arrive at the county auditor’s office before polls close on election day. Minot’s special mayoral election is scheduled for August 5th. Early voting will not be allowed, but absentee voting will be an available option.
