(Flandreau, SD) — A piece of the Flandreau community is grieving the loss of a mother of four who went missing last weekend. Jamie White disappeared early Saturday morning, and after days of searching, authorities confirmed her body was found Wednesday in the Big Sioux River near the Flandreau dam. Friends and family identified her and gathered for a candlelight vigil that night. Her brother, Laban White, says the support from the community has meant a lot during a heartbreaking time. A friend described Jamie as bubbly and kind. Now, the family is hoping for answers as the state Division of Criminal Investigation steps in to help with the case.
