Millions Of Fish Stocked In ND Fisheries

(Bismarck. ND) — Millions of fish are being released into state fisheries. The North Dakota Fisheries Supervisor Jerry Wiegel says an estimated nine-million walleye fingerlings were released into over 60 Garrison Dam hatchery ponds this year. An additional 15-thousand brown trout, tiger muskie, and tiger trout are expected to be released in areas like Hooker and Moon Lakes and the Missouri River. He says the goal is to release more fish into 170 lakes throughout North Dakota as the spring season continues.
