(Washington, DC) — Attorney General Marty Jackley visits the White House for the signing of a new law aimed at curbing dangerous fentanyl copycats. Jackley, one of 25 attorneys general who pushed for the HALT Fentanyl Act, says the law closes a key loophole by permanently classifying lab-made fentanyl knockoffs as Schedule One drugs. These synthetic versions often skirted U.S. law and, in many cases, were even more dangerous than prescription fentanyl.
