(Bismarck, ND) — Amtrak services could return to North Dakota. The Bismarck-Mandan Metro Planning Organization launched a study to consider reviving the passenger rail service, which was discontinued in Bismarck in 1979. If it were to return, the Amtrak service would utilize the North Coast Hiawatha rail line and operate from Chicago to Seattle.
