(Bismarck, ND) — A North Dakota State Penitentiary inmate is being convicted of assaulting two corrections officers. Alex Eggleston received an additional 10 years to his existing sentence late last week. He was found guilty of two felony counts of contact by bodily fluids after assaulting the officers in October 2021. Eggleston was originally convicted of life with the possibility of parole for a 2017 murder after a fatal shooting in Williston.
