(Kansas City, MO) — The Chiefs are locking up one of their young defensive stars with a new contract. ESPN reports that Kansas City is signing defensive end George Karlaftis to a four-year, 93-million-dollar contract extension. The deal includes 62-million-dollars guaranteed. The 24-year-old has two years remaining on his rookie contract and now has a deal that runs through the 2030 season. Karlaftis finished last season with 35 total tackles and eight sacks in 16 games played.
