(Minot, ND) — Minot residents should submit their absentee ballots sooner rather than later for the upcoming special election. Officials have reminded voters about a new North Dakota rule for absentee ballots, which requires ballots to be at the auditor’s office by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Any ballot that is submitted after the deadline on August 5th will not be counted. The new law will go into effect days before Minot’s special election for mayor is held. Absentee ballots can be dropped off at the Ward County Administration Building.
