(Bismarck, ND) — Governor Kelly Armstrong is submitting a disaster declaration for last month’s severe storms. Yesterday, Armstrong announced he submitted a presidential major disaster declaration after over 20 tornadoes and straight-line winds caused over 11-million-dollars in damages. He said the request would activate FEMA assistance for 19 counties to help cover the costs of emergency operations, repairs, and debris removal in the affected areas.
