(Bismarck, ND) — A woman will not face incarceration for the death of a motorcyclist in Bismarck. Madisyn Heidt was initially tried in 2022 after authorities accused her of driving into a man riding a motorcycle on the Bismarck Expressway. After the trial ended in a hung jury, a re-trial scheduled to start this week was canceled. Heidt agreed to an amended plea deal last month after admitting she was distracted during the accident. She will now have to pay a 100-dollar fine.
