(Sioux Falls, SD) — Two cross-country truck drivers sue Denny’s, claiming they were refused service at the Sioux Falls location because of their race. Damon Whitfield and Hector Madera say a waitress ignored them, served others first, and eventually told them, “I’m not serving you people,” before calling the police. The incident happened in 2023, and now the men are seeking at least four-million dollars in damages in a federal lawsuit. Denny’s says it regrets the incident, fired the employee, and provided additional training, but declined to comment further on the case. The men are requesting a jury trial in Sioux Falls.
