Millions Spent To Influence Lawmakers During Montana Session

(Helena, MT) — Groups are keeping their wallets open to persuade Montana lawmakers during the legislative session. Reports filed with the Montana Commissioner of Political Practices show more than nine million dollars was spent to influence decisions on legislation. The money was spent by more than 470 groups on hundreds of bills that were brought forward earlier this year. That includes more than 200 grand by tobacco companies on a House bill concerning vape products in the Treasure State.
