(Henderson, NV) — The Raiders are parting ways with a standout member of their defense. Las Vegas has informed defensive tackle Christian Wilkins that he has been released with designation of terminated vested veteran. Wilkins has been recovering from a Jones fracture, which he sustained in his left foot last October. Due to how the 29-year-old approached his rehab from the injury, the team is voiding the remaining 35.2-million-dollars of guaranteed money that was left on his contract. Wilkins has filed a grievance with the NFLPA. He had been placed on the physically unable to perform list prior to the start of training camp.
