(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota lawmakers are supporting Governor Kelly Armstrong’s request for major disaster declaration funding. Last month, tornadoes and severe storms severely impacted 19 counties across eastern, southern, and central North Dakota. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, and Representative Julie Fedorchak submitted a letter to President Trump late last week to provide support for Armstrong’s request. The delegation cited instances of death, property damage, and other issues caused by the recent storms. The request is still waiting for a decision from President Trump.
