Twins Walk-Off Red Sox; Trade Paddack, Dobnak To Tigers

(Minneapolis, MN) — Brooks Lee came up big for the Minnesota Twins during their 5-4 win over the Boston Red Sox at Target Field on Monday. Lee hit a walk-off two-run single in the bottom of the ninth to give Minnesota the win. DaShawn Keirsey Jr. homered in the victory, while Jhoan Duran earned his sixth win in relief. Minnesota is still in fourth place in the AL Central at 51-and-55. The Twins take on the Red Sox again tonight.

Also, the Twins began their fire sale yesterday. The team sent starting pitcher Chris Paddack and Triple-A arm Randy Dobnak to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for catching prospect Enrique Jimenez. The Twins acquired Paddack ahead of the 2022 season but he was just 3-and-9 with a 4.95 ERA in 21 starts this season. The MLB trade deadline is Thursday.
