Twins Lose To Red Sox

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins gave up four runs in the top of the third inning during an 8-5 loss to the Boston Red Sox at Target Field. Brooks Lee homered twice and drove in five runs during the losing effort, while Pierson Ohl was charged with his first loss after allowing four runs on five hits in three innings. Minnesota is in fourth place in the AL Central at 51-and-56. The Twins send Zebby Matthews to the mound against Boston this afternoon. In other team news, Minnesota placed Byron Buxton on the ten-day injured list with a rib injury yesterday.
