(Pierre, SD) — Two South Dakota DCI agents are now officially trained to assist ICE in cracking down on violent criminals and drug dealers. Attorney General Marty Jackley says they’re the first state officers to complete the federal 287(g) program, which included 40 hours of online training. Jackley says the move strengthens immigration law enforcement across South Dakota. A new task force program is also being set up in Pierre to support the effort.
