(Bismarck, ND) — Two North Dakota groups will receive funding through the Renewable Energy Program. This week, 700-thousand-dollars was approved by the North Dakota Industrial Commission for the University of North Dakota and BWR Innovations. UND received 200-thousand-dollars for producing materials for lithium-ion batteries, with BWR securing 500-thousand-dollars for improving energy resources through hydrogen offtake. Officials say the program is funded by oil and gas production tax revenue and strengthens renewable energy resources throughout the state.
