(McKenzie County, ND) — This year’s haying season is being described as “average or slightly above average.” That’s the word from McKenzie County extension agent Ryan Odenbach. He says producers had “made good progress” until rains “slowed things down a bit.” Odenbach added that despite the rain, “yields have not been bad.” Producers have also been helped by minimal issues with pests, such as grasshoppers.
