(Madison, SD) — Madison, nicknamed Miracle City for the day, shines with strong community support as Dairy Queen locations across the country raise money during Miracle Treat Day. The local store aimed to raise 100 thousand dollars Thursday for the Children’s Miracle Network and is close to reaching that goal, bringing their 20-year total near one million. Owner DeLon Mork praised the community’s support, saying it’s become a team effort to help local kids. Even Governor Larry Rhoden stopped by to recognize Madison’s generosity. With the Dairy Queen COO choosing Madison’s store for the biggest fundraiser, the city showed why it leads the nation in giving for this cause.
