(Bismarck, ND) — North Dakota drivers are warned about strict enforcement as speed limits increase today. North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers claim they were informed to only allow drivers a leeway of two miles over the speed limit before issuing citations. NDHP Sergeant Adam Malafa says it’s to prevent a new norm of excessive speeds as the new law takes effect. As of today, the North Dakota interstate speed limit is 80 miles per hour.
